BENEFITS
Why It Makes a Difference
Brief-First Pre-Production
Before the camera comes out, we work through the brief: what the campaign needs to do, who it speaks to, and which images carry the weight. The groundwork is what separates considered commercial photography from a generic content shoot.
Studio-Grade Equipment
From full-frame cameras and prime lenses to studio strobes and on-location lighting, every piece is chosen for the assignment, with the kind of consistency a working advertising photographer is hired to deliver.
A Calm, Directed Set
Talent, founders, and product teams arrive nervous and leave looking like they were born for it. As a brand photographer I direct the set with intention so the day stays on schedule and on brief.
Intentional Post-Production
Retouching, colour grading, and compositing are restrained and deliberate. Every editorial decision serves the campaign, never overshadowing the product or the people in the frame.
Polished Final Delivery
Final commercial photography is delivered in full resolution with crops for web, social, OOH, and print. A structured review round is built in so the campaign launches with exactly the images you signed off on.
Story-First Direction
Whether the brief is brand photography, an advertising campaign, or a full content library, every frame is shaped around the role the image needs to play across your channels.
How it Works
Great commercial photography starts with strategy, not the shot list. Here is what working together looks like, from brief to final delivery.
BRIEF & PLANNING
The work starts the moment you reach out. We unpack the brief, the audience, and the channels the images need to live on, then build a shot list, mood references, and a clear production plan. From there I coordinate locations, talent, and any styling support so the day arrives fully scoped, never improvised.
SHOOT DAY
On the day, the set runs to the schedule we agreed in pre-production. Full-frame cameras, prime lenses, and studio or on-location lighting do the technical work while I direct talent and product through the shot list. You get tethered review on set so sign-off happens in real time, not weeks later.
EDITING & DELIVERY
After the shoot, selected frames go through careful retouching, colour grading, and any campaign-specific compositing. Final commercial photography is delivered in full resolution with crops for every channel, alongside a structured review round before the campaign goes live.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between commercial photography and brand photography?
Commercial photography covers any image made to sell a product, service, or campaign, including advertising, packaging, and editorial use. Brand photography is a subset focused on the look and feel of a single business: founders, team, environment, products in context. Most clients need a mix, which is why both are typically scoped into the same production.
How much does a commercial or brand photography session cost?
The cost of a commercial photographer is shaped by shoot length, crew, location, talent, post-production scope, and usage rights. A focused brand photography day is quoted differently from a full advertising campaign that runs across paid media. Every quote is itemised so you can see exactly what the production, the post, and the licensing each cost.
What usage rights and licensing are included with commercial photos?
Standard licensing covers your owned channels: website, social, and email, for an agreed term. Paid media, OOH, and broadcast use extend the license and are priced separately because the images are doing more work for you. As your advertising photographer I lay out exactly what is covered before the shoot, so nothing has to be renegotiated later.
How long does a typical commercial photo shoot take?
Most commercial photography shoots run a half or full day on-set, depending on shot count, talent, and location moves. Larger campaigns with multiple setups, products, or shoot days are blocked across the week. The shot list and production schedule are agreed in pre-production so the day runs to plan, not over budget.
What deliverables can I expect from a brand photography session?
A standard brand photography session delivers a full library of edited images in multiple crops for web, social, and print. Founders and team portraits, environmental shots, product in context, and detail frames are all included. As your brand photographer I scope the deliverables in advance so the gallery maps directly to where the images need to live.
Why is professional brand photography important for a business?
Brand photography is the visual layer of your positioning. The right commercial photographer near me search is not just about convenience, it is about working with someone who understands how images influence trust, perception, and conversion. Generic stock and phone-snapped content quietly cost more in lost credibility than commissioned brand photography ever does upfront.
